NEW BRIGHT PORSCHE 911 REWORK - STARTED IN JULY, 2007
This New Bright Porsche 911 is based on an early 2000s model. Many didn't care for this model's headlight treatment because it was derived from the Boxster, a less expensive model that debuted in that time frame. Personally I liked these lights- they were refreshingly different and looked more modern to me. Shows you what I know about Porsches.
My crew conducted a "road test' of this car right after I got it. Unfortunately, those photos are of such low resolution and quality, that I'm not going to post them. I will do a more up to date photo shoot to post in this section.
We start off with the rework, which was shot on my first DSLR. Alexander Robinson, Deputy Director , brings his car in to be re-worked.
A couple quick comments: When the car is fastened back together, gap between the dashboard (actually the "center stack") and the console disappears. Also all the rough edges are smoothed out to eliminate possible damage to action figures or their clothing.
After addressing the seating position, work was done on bringing the rear wheels within the bodywork. This task was a bit more complex than anticipated and required a lot of trial and error. One side was completed. In the intervening time, the car was used in photos in the saga. I will update this process with photos when I complete this work. The difference between the narrowed side and the one that still protrudes is amazing. What will enhance this car even more is some slight lowering to better fill the wheel wells.
