NATASHA IN AC PLAY SUMMER OUTFIT
I decided Natasha would be the one to try out this new outfit by AC Play. At first I thought this was simply a remake of a similar outfit made a few years ago by Magic Cube Toys, which you can check out here: https://www.onesixthsagas.com/its-so-hot-i-could-melt.html
The two outfits are similar, but the AC Play one uses a mesh top, which I have always found appealing. This material along with the way AC Play cut it, is a lot easier for me to tie with a realistic looking knot. Getting knots to look in scale is a challenge for me.
Because it's summer time here in the Central Valley this had to be a morning shoot.
We were able to get some sun before the temperature started to really climb...
People might wonder why I would use a jointed body for an outfit like this. I tried to get the pants on a couple of my TBLeague seamless bodies, but the fit was too tight. I was afraid of damaging the figures. They fit the slimmer S17B, but the top is designed for a figure with a large bust. It seems that I was going to have to use the top and pants separately and I didn't want to do that. Yes, the promotional photos all show the outfits (they're available in 3 different colors) modeled by seamless figures. For all I know they leave them dressed that way permanently. Maybe on a cold winter day I'll try again...
At any rate, the pants glided on Natasha's Triad Alpha's legs, and her re-sculpted bust filled out the top nicely. Sometimes you just have to use the old-school, tried and true style figure!
