MODIFIED GLORIA WINE BAR PLAYSET
Around 2006, these were very easy to find on eBay, along with several other playsets in the Gloria line. Generally, this line is a bit closer to 1/6th scale than similar Barbie sets. Just as with Barbie sets, a bit of paint makes them much more realistic.
As these sets were marketed internationally from a Chinese company, they were able to freely label this set "Happy Hour" play set. Apparently markets outside of the U.S. don't have a problem with kids pretending their figures/dolls enjoy wine and spirits.
In addition to painting all of the pink parts, I covered the lower part of the bar with self adhesive black felt. I extended the height of the bar stools to allow for more realistic seating. The glass rack above the bar needs to be extended a bit also, which is why the glasses are not in place in these photos.
