PHICEN S10D - KIMI TOYS KT007 - MAGIC CUBE MOTORCYCLE OUTFIT
My original plan for the Phicen S10D was to use it as an upgrade for a long serving Bbi Perfect Body. The PB bodies have been great, but they're beginning to be a bit dated. Newer designs have addressed the few shortcomings I've found with the trusty PB.
As it turns out, about the only thing that would work for my plan is the pale skin tone of the S10D. The degree of modifications needed to fit a PB sculpt to this newer design body are well beyond my skills. The S10D was put back in its box, and the PB sculpt is being tested on a pale Coreplay body. I decided I would try and find a current design head sculpt for the S10D.
It turns out that very few head sculpts are being made to fit these newer bodies. Yes, Phicen does make a head sculpt included with the pale S-07, but it often costs as much as some truly great head sculpts... and it isn't one of my favorites. I stumbled on an eBay listing for the Kimi Toys KT007 sculpt. What caught my eye were the seller's own photos, and the seller's statement that this sculpt was a good match for the S10D. Sign me up!
Normally I don't risk pricey Phicens with clothing that has a tendency to stain. Dark "pleather" is especially prone to staining even hard plastic bodies. For some reason, I decided to take a chance with Magic Cube's Female Motorcycle Outfit (F062), if I could get the outfit on her, that is. Rubber doesn't tend to slide over the silicone skin of Phicen bodies.
So, here's a whole new figure, head sculpt, and outfit, all shot under a new lighting set-up.
The set includes the jacket, pants, white top, and Magic Cube's sturdy high heels.
Unlike most of the leather jackets for female figures, this one has the look of an actual motorcycle jacket. I think it's actually the centerpiece of the set. All the scale zippers are functional, the texture and tailoring, and lots of neat details. The collar closes with a small magnet. The zipper does zip all the way up.
The jacket and pants are of slightly different material.
Some of the details of the jacket. One nice thing about the functional zippers on the sleeves is that they allow the relaxed hands to fit through the sleeves without removing them. The pants are made of a smoother material that is a bit stretchy, which really helps them to fit the Phicen body. Functional pockets, and belt loops; Velcro closure.
Some of the detailing on the back of the jacket. You can also see the way the pants are stitched. The pockets are placed nicely, and they're functional- not that you could squeeze anything into them!
Okay, this view is of her shoes, and to show that the pants length is about perfect. The ankle joint is completely hidden.
I mentioned earlier the sturdy Magic Cube heels. They're crazy high, but they do a great job of keeping the figure stable. They also have a gold foil colored inner lining. And you thought this was just another view of her backside! Well, it is, but with a scientific purpose.
This is about as much knee bend as these pants allow. Not bad for this type of material, and more than any other similar pants I have.
I'm going to have to dig out some of my motorcycles and see if she can actually "ride" them.
This is the white top included in the set. MC has used this pattern before, but this one is made of a lighter weight material. It also seems to be cut much more generously as the other ones show more cleavage. This one seems to have a much more realistic fit, yet it doesn't interfere with fitting the jacket (I find hemostats are really handy for pulling outer clothing over sleeves).
She's been wearing this outfit for about three weeks, and there's no sign of staining.
